Mainstem Columbia River Fishery Announcements

The announcements for mainstem fishery regulations have been agreed to by all four tribes. CRITFC does not regulate fisheries. Each tribe sets its own fishing regulations and fishers should check with their tribe’s fishery management department for specifics and details regarding regulations. Regulations may change on short notice. Fisheries downstream of Bonneville Dam are based on specific written agreements between the tribes and states. Please contact your tribe directly concerning details of fishing regulations downstream of Bonneville. For information on tributary fishing regulations, please contact your tribe directly. For current information on Compact decisions and non-treaty mainstem fisheries please visit the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife’s Columbia River Compact page. For data on treaty and non-treaty commercial sales to wholesale buyers, please visit the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Columbia River Commercial Fishery Landings page.
