April 30, 2024 Spring Fishery Announcement

The four Columbia River treaty fishing tribes made the following fishery change:

Due to catches to date and catches projected through this week, and uncertainty in the spring run size, the tribes will close mainstem Columbia River spring season platform and hook-and-line
fisheries effective 6:00 PM on Thursday May 2, 2024.

The tribes will also suspend Ceremonial Permit fishing at this time.

The tribes will review catch estimates and future run size updates and determine if additional fishing time can be provided at a later date.
