June 10, 2026 Announcement

Commercial Platform and Hook-and-Line Fishery
  • Area:  All of Zone 6
  • Dates/Times:Fish Caught in the Zone 6 Platform and Hook and Line fishery after 12:01 AM on Tuesday June 16 until 11:59 PM on Friday July 31, may be sold commercially or retained for subsistence use.
  • Gear:  Hoop Nets/ Bag Nets, Dip Nets, and Hook and line.
  • Allowable Sales:
    • Salmon (any species) and steelhead may be sold or kept for subsistence.
    • Shad, yellow perch, bass, walleye, catfish and carp may also be sold or retained for subsistence.
    • Sturgeon may not be sold, but sturgeon from 38 to 54 inches fork length in the Bonneville Pool and sturgeon from 43 to 54 inches fork length in The Dalles and John Day pools may be kept for subsistence purposes.
    • Fish landed during the open periods are allowed to be sold after the period concludes.

Zone 6 Commercial Gillnet Fishery

  • Area:  All of Zone 6
  • Dates/Times:
    • 6:00 AM Tuesday June 16 to 6:00 PM Friday, June 19 (3-nights)
    • 6:00 AM Monday June 22 to 6:00 PM Wednesday, June 24 (2-nights)
    • 6:00 AM Monday June 29 to 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 1 (2-nights)
  • Gear: Set and drift gillnets with a 7” minimum mesh size.
  • Allowable Sales:
    • Salmon (any species) and steelhead may be sold or kept for subsistence.
    • Shad, yellow perch, bass, walleye, catfish and carp may also be sold or retained for subsistence.
    • Sturgeon may not be sold, but sturgeon from 38 to 54 inches fork length in the Bonneville Pool and sturgeon from 43 to 54 inches fork length in The Dalles and John Day pools may be kept for subsistence purposes.
    • Fish landed during the open periods are allowed to be sold after the period concludes.

Tributary Fisheries and Fisheries Downstream of Bonneville Dam

  • Tributary fisheries are managed under separate limits from the mainstem fishery. This action does not affect the tributary fisheries. Please contact your tribe for current tributary regulations.
