Dispatch Supervisor

  • Salary Range: $ 28+/hour depending on experience

The Dispatch Supervisor serves as a direct line supervisor over the dispatch division and is responsible for communications, record maintenance, shift coverage, routine office management, and all activities associated with dispatch. Keeps immediate supervisor informed of dispatch related matters as they affect the agency. Is responsible for all aspects of LEDS to keep us compliant with current standards as well as keeping up to date with any changes or updates.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compliance in all aspects of dispatch hiring, evaluations, investigations of misconduct, grievances, and training, by maintaining a working knowledge of CRITFC Policies and Procedures, the Law Enforcement Operations Manual (OM), and the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) regulations.
  • Directs dispatcher training and supervises performance levels, methods and techniques, by working with dispatchers and by maintaining a working knowledge of all aspects of dispatch duties.
  • Responsible for planning and implementation of dispatch work by conducting regular meetings and giving clear, concise directions to dispatchers to ensure professional and productive application of dispatch responsibilities.
  • Responsible for maintenance of department records and logs, reports, court notices and computerized records by regular review, making corrections, and updating information.
  • Responsible for office equipment and the criminal justice computer system by arranging training, maintenance, and repairs. Serve as department assistant network administrator. Responsible for the department’s computer Records Management System (RMS) and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
  • Being the department expert that ensures compliance with LEDS/NCIC rules and regulations by learning the rules and regulations and serving as the department’s LEDS representative.
  • Have a general knowledge of the applicable tribal, inter-tribal, state/federal laws, resolutions and procedures pertaining to fishing and related activities on the Columbia River by keeping informed of all current and updated information.
  • Responsible for the issuance of proper equipment to all dispatch personnel and that all issued equipment is properly maintained by conducting regular inspections of personnel uniforms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
