My research interests have focused on anadromous salmonid ecology, stream habitat restoration, and population modeling. My skill set includes a strong background in statistical data analysis and scientific writing as well as extensive knowledge of various field research techniques including stream habitat surveys, snorkel surveys, electrofishing, fish identification and tagging techniques, downstream migrant trapping, and spawning surveys. I have approximately 8 years of professional experience in fisheries science. My current work at CRITFC focuses on evaluation of stream habitat conditions in the Grande Ronde River and modeling spring Chinook population response to habitat restoration. My personal interests include fishing, snowboarding, cycling, snorkeling, backpacking, and spending time with family.
