Biography
My research is primarily focused on the fitness differences and genetic changes occurring between hatchery- and natural-origin fish that spawn together in nature. I am also interested in the genetic basis of important phenotypic traits in salmonids, such as migration time. By examining the genetic basis of fitness-related trait in salmonids, I aim to provide information for the purposes of conservation management. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening and spending time with my daughter, husband, three dogs, and cat.
