Fisheries Management Department Portland Main Office
Biography
Pete joined CRITFC in late 2024 and supports its efforts to reduce the impacts of federal and non-federal dams on fish passage and water quality in the Snake and Columbia rivers. He began his professional career in the Columbia Basin nearly two decades ago and has worked primarily on salmon fisheries and habitat modeling and assessment, both here and elsewhere on the West Coast since then. Pete has also worked on hydropower relicensing and instream flows in Vermont and as a postdoc in New Zealand where he studied relationships between flows and riverine food webs. Outside of work, Pete enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and furry children.
