Biography

My research interests include programs for genetic monitoring of fisheries, evaluating genetic effects of hatchery practices, and testing for patterns of adaptive vs. neutral genetic variation.  Much of my research is facilitated by recent advances in molecular technology including SNP genotyping and next-generation sequencing equipment in our Hagerman Genetics Laboratory.  Outside of the lab, I enjoy time with my family, fishing for trout, salmon, and tuna, and training for triathlons.
