An Evaluation of CRITFC-Coordinated Habitat Restoration Projects and Limiting Factors to Salmon and Steelhead in the Columbia Basin

Dec 1, 2009

Abstract

For this evaluation, we implement a Geographic Information Systems (GIS)-based approach to address this issue by assembling information on major limiting factors, and evaluating the PCSRF projects implemented between 2000 and 2007 by the member tribes of the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission (CRITFC). This evaluation illustrates some available data and methods to compare habitat projects and limiting factors, as well as the shortcomings of this approach given current available information.
