Biography
Originally from Georgia, I have come to Idaho to be a part of one of the world’s leading groups in fish science. As a child, I learned that fish could be a source of much beauty, sustenance, and wonder. It is my hope that I can continue to shed light on them, especially those in the iconic Columbia River Basin. Previously, I have led projects resulting in the detection of rare fish via environmental DNA and successfully genotyped non-model fish using a reduced representation genomic sequencing approach. At CRITFC, I am primarily focused on the bioinformatic processing of sequence data and, in general, ensuring the smooth generation and transition of millions of data points. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, gaming, live music, and keeping planted aquaria.
