Biography

I am an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. I was born and raised in the Pendleton, OR area where I cultivated a love for the natural world and outdoor pursuits. I attended Oregon State University and graduated with a B.S. in Wildlife Biology and a minor in ethnic studies. I have had the pleasure of working for the Nez Perce and Umatilla Tribes researching wolves and riparian habitat restoration respectively. My current research focus has been working with the steelhead kelt reconditioning program here at the CRITFC and it’s member Tribes. I’ve been with CRITFC since 2003 and I’ve learned a great deal of the resources and the science and politics that goes into managing them in the Columbia River Basin. Outside of work my pursuits are home improvement, landscaping with native plants and vegetables, cooking, outdoor pursuits (camping, biking, hiking, fishing, and hunting), traveling, music, and geeking out with electronics.

Education

  • B.S., Wildlife Biology, Oregon State University, 2001
